You see it on TV shows all the time...how DNA is used to solve cases that grew dusty.
It was used to crack a six year old rape case in Wilkes-Barre. A woman was raped as she walked along Carey Avenue in November of 2000. Body fluids from the attacker were collected and saved. They were checked against a data base every now and then and in March of last year, it linked them to Anthony McClair, who was charged Tuesday.
He pleaded "no contest" to a felony and will be sentenced in August.
