Scranton teachers are expected to report for the new year on September 2nd. Classes are scheduled to start the next day. But at a meeting yesterday the teachers dropped a fly in the ointment.....they voted unanimously to allow their union leadership to call a strike. The contract expires at the end of this month. Negotiating dates are being set up. No surprise here....health insurance and pay are the big issues.
