R & R and Reconstruction

I’m back from a much-needed vacation at the beach. I made a decision that this was the last such vacation without internet access. My husband and I will be getting a laptop in the next few months. It’s not that I want to be online working when I’m supposed to be with the family. However, it is so stressful returning to work with so much to do and a simple task like weeding out spam takes too much time when there are more pressing things to do.
I also would have loved to have listened in to the guest hosts on The Morning News with Kevin. I do have audio copies of those shows to listen to after the fact, but it’s so much more interesting to listen as it’s live and happening. I hope you enjoyed hearing different perspectives in my absence. 
I was saddened to hear about the death of Tony Snow. In fact, I didn’t even know of his passing until a few days later. While news like that hits the general population pretty hard, it’s especially difficult for cancer survivors. We try to stay focused on being positive but the harsh reality is that good people die, no matter how good the medical care, or how strong the will to live. Please keep his wife and kids in your thoughts and prayers.
On the cancer front, I’m preparing to undergo reconstructive surgery in a few months.  While I’m not looking forward to another hospital stay, I am looking forward to having some semblance of normalcy. This will be the last step in a long and lengthy treatment and recovery process. Reconstructive surgery is pretty intense and lasts about three months. I was debating whether to add a link to see it in process. It’s pretty graphic but it’s reality. So, here it is
