Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, spouts an inflamatory, partisan speech before voting. So much for bi-partisanship. The so-called "sure thing" vote failed miserably. It's not just the Republicans who shut it down. Pelosi couldn't even get her own party to vote on this. Some leader.
The doom and gloomers said if it didn't pass, the market would fall 20-30%. It fell just 5 or 6%.
Time to get back to work. I don't see Armageddon...yet.
But if Armageddon does arrive, I hope Nancy Pelosi and Henry Paulson are at ground zero.
