They were probably the most-popular pop piano duo in music history. Ferrante and Teicher's songs were a staple on the charts for decades. Louis Teicher was a native of Wilkes Barre...he was born in the city in 1924, and took his first piano lesson there. He died of a heart attack in North Carolina Sunday at the age of 83.
