It's about time to write about it.

This is something I’ve been putting off for some time now...but it seems it’s the right time to write about it. I’ve blogged about my health situation and I did mention specifics a couple of times on the air. In case you missed it, I am currently under treatment for breast cancer. In April I was diagnosed after finding a lump. I am 39 years old and yearly mammograms aren’t suggested until the age of 40. I had a radical mastectomy and my lymph nodes removed. I am now undergoing chemotherapy and will be doing radiation when that is done in a few months. I’ve been off the air, but still working most days when I’m not at the Dr.’s. With the chemo, it’s tough certain days getting up early in the morning to do the show, so I’ve been doing my Programming duties behind the scenes. With the recent changes such as the FM station and the addition of the Corbett show I’ve been plenty busy. I will be weaning back into the morning show in the coming weeks and months. There’s a lot more to my story, which I’ll get into in future blogs. However, I don’t want to just write about cancer, because my life is soooo much more than this. However, I’d be a fool to say this has not changed my life profoundly. So that’s the update, in case you were wondering where I’ve been. To the many who have already emailed or wrote me kind thoughts, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you haven’t heard from me, it’s because I’ve been so busy and I want to respond to each  one of you with some thought and detail, rather than a cursory thank
you.
