Hope you had a good Father's Day. Mine was great, with my boys getting me a new pair of golf shoes. Now if I only got to wear them more.
But last night I really wanted to put them on and go out and hit some balls after watching Tiger. What more can you say. The TV commentators come up with all the syrupy language when they talk about him, but c'mon, do you need it after you've just watched him play?
He gutted that tournament out and ended up playing in a playoff today.
Tiger is like the Yankees...either you love him or you root for whoever is chasing him. And you really can't go wrong rooting for Pennsylvania's own Rocco Mediate today. Either way it's a great story. But even if you don't like Tiger, you can't help but respect and admire his focus and mental toughness.
Nevermind the 300 yard plus drives, the putting, and the iron play. The focus and mental toughness are the two reasons he's still in it today.
And you know what? I'm going to miss the performance because I'm wearing my new golf shoes out on the course today.
