It's the calm before the storm in NEPA. Hillary Clinton rose like a phoenix from the ashes earlier this week, and she doesn't just have to win Pennsylvania, she has to win big. While she won both Ohio and Texas, she was only able to net a 12 delegate gain..and still trails Barack Obama by about a hundred. This is not good news for Democrats. A long drawn out primary battle only helps the Republicans in my opinion. All the time Hillary and Barack spend attacking each other, is less time the Democrats spend attacking the GOP for their failures. I really like both Democratic candidates, I would be happy with either. To be honest, I think I would be most pleased with Clinton/Obama ticket rather than the other way around. However, if the math is what they say it is, Hillary Clinton will have to really kick ass in the next contests to even have a fighting chance. When I say fighting, I mean it. What will happen if Obama has a slight lead, but Clinton gets the delegates to sway in her favor? What about the will of the people? You Republicans should grab the popcorn and sit back and enjoy the next couple of months, because this is really going to be entertainment for you. Just enjoy it while you can, because I think no matter who wins the Democratic nomination, they'll have no problem taking on John McCain, especially if he gets cozy with President Bush. |
